Cross-Border Trade Operations ERP

ERP for importers: connect the import workflow

Import teams need one operational view of sourcing, purchasing, shipments, documents and costs. Start with connected records so the next follow-up has a clear commercial context.

From supplier to final product cost

Use this workflow as an operating model, rather than a promise that every step is automated.

  • Supplier → RFQ → Quotation → Purchase Order → Shipment → Charges → Warehouse → Landed Cost

Where import follow-up becomes difficult

Supplier details spread across files, partial shipments and documents arriving at different times make it difficult to know what is ready and what is missing.

  • Keep supplier and product references consistent across purchases.
  • Review each shipment’s milestones, documents and charges together.
  • Keep currencies explicit; do not add unlike currencies without an agreed conversion basis.

An operational view beyond the supplier price

A quoted price is only one part of import cost. Freight, duties, clearance and inland transport affect final product cost and the margin available when goods are sold.

Current scope and product direction

The current ERP includes suppliers, RFQs, quotations, purchase orders and shipment records with items, legs, milestones, documents and charges. Inventory receipt records support warehouse follow-up. Automated landed-cost allocation is not complete; discuss your allocation and cost-reconciliation needs before relying on a final unit cost.
